Clarence Johnson's Obituary
Racine - Mr. Clarence J. Johnson, 76, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 14, 2007.
Clarence Johnson was born in Racine to the late Nels Christ and Luella (nee: Kelly) Johnson on September 18, 1930. He had lived in Racine for all his life. In Racine, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Smith on June 28, 1956. She preceded him in death on January 4, 1991.
Mr. Johnson had served his country in the United States National Guard between 1950 and 1956. He was employed at Modine Manufacturing as a Senior Machine Designer. He retired in 1993. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the Milwaukee Brewer's Spring Training. He also enjoyed Brewer's games, car racing, and building and racing modified cars.
Clarence is survived by four children, Phyllis (Don) Metz of Santa Clarita, California, Rod (Kyle) Johnson of Racine, Kris (Mark) Johnson of Trinity, Florida, and Tamara Johnson of Racine; ten grandchildren, Trista and Heather Metz, Rod Jr. (Sara) and Roy (Margo) Johnson, Rick Madsen, Alyssa, Scott, and Amy Johnson, Skylar Bieniek, and Emaleth Johnson; three great grandchildren, Rodney III, Mikala, and Roy Jr. Johnson; other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at he Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 1 pm with Pastor Melvin Hargrove officiating. Inurnment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until service time. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's disease have been suggested.
