Chelsia Dean's Obituary
Sturtevant - Chelsia Nicole Dean, 19, struggled with cardiomyopathy and received a heart transplant in March of 2010 and battled other health issues that eventually overcame her. She died on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Children's Hospital.
Chelsia was born in Racine on November 8, 1991 to Ray Erwin and Kimberley Dean. She was a student at Walden III High School, 2010
Chelsia was an animal lover, aspiring to become a veterinarian. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the game of basketball. She was a very giving and selfless person, putting others ahead of herself.
Chelsia is survived by her father, Ray Dean; her mother, Kimberley Dean; two brothers, Chad (Lisa) Dean and Brandon Dean; two sisters, Angela Mateo and Kayley Dean; nephews, Chase and Connor Dean and David Mateo; maternal grandfather, Brad Miller, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Diane Miller; paternal grandmother, Jeanette (Juan) Kearns; and paternal grandfather, Roy Edward Dean.
A memorial services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 4 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Memorials to Children's Hospital or Make a Wish Foundation have been suggested.
