Charlotte Mary Hansen's Obituary
Charlotte Mary Hansen, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2017 at her residence.
Charlotte was born to Richard and Adella (Hassel) Denk on December 14, 1944 in Two Rivers, WI and raised in Ashland, WI. She attended DePadua High School in Ashland and graduated in 1963. After high school, Charlotte moved to Kenosha to work at Jockey and then moved to Racine after being hired at Western Publishing. While in Racine, Charlotte met the love of her life, Peter M. Hansen, and was united in marriage to him on June 25, 1966. Charlotte retired from Western Publishing after 35 years of loyal service.
Charlotte was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers but her true passion was watching her grandson Alex play baseball, she never missed a game. Anything to do with her grandchildren brought a twinkle to her eye. She loved her grandchildren and was so proud of them. She also loved to bake and have holiday gatherings for her family. Charlotte and her husband Peter, enjoyed traveling in their RV together. They visited many places but she especially liked the Smokey Mountains and when they would go to RV rallies. She loved her family and she will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish Charlotte’s memory is the love of her life, Peter Hansen; her son, Todd (Heidi) Hansen; her grandchildren, Zachary and Alexander Hansen, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws.
A Celebration of Charlotte’s Life will be held from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Wilson Funeral Home (1212 Lathrop Ave).
