Charles Riekkoff's Obituary
Racine- Mr. Charles W. Riekkoff, 81, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare- All Saints.
He was born in Racine on February 1, 1931 to Charles and Cecelia (nee: Felton) Riekkoff. Mr. Riekkoff had proudly served his country in the Marine Corps from 1948-1951. He was also employed by General Motors as a Journeyman Welder for over 20 years until his retirement in 1992.
Bill had been a 32nd degree Mason since 1970. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering in his garage, teaching his grandson to weld, and "traveling and playing the odds". When he was younger, he also won Golden Gloves in boxing.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Diana (David) Benavides; three grandchildren, Hannah Jorgensen, Sam Benavides, and Nichole Elcano; his twin great-grandchildren, Cale and Will Elcano; longtime companion, Beverly Vite; and his dog, Billy. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Roseann Villalobos.
Private services in honor of Bill were held. Friends who wish to remember Bill should raise a glass in his honor.
