Charles Kellner's Obituary
Racine- Mr. Charles F. Kellner, 71, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare- All Saints.
Charles was born to Frederick and Margaret (nee: Drought) Kellner on June 19, 1941. He graduated from William Horlick High School in 1959. Afterwards, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963. While stationed in Savannah, GA. he met Cornelia (nee:Campbell) and they were united in marriage on December 8, 1962.
After his service in the Air Force, Charles was employed at Johnson Wax for over 35, working his way up to a Senior Research Chemist before his retirement in 1998. He had also served as a soccer coach for RASA and Racine Lutheran High School. However, his greatest joy in life was his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren.
Charles will be dearly missed by his wife of 49 years, Cornelia; children, Fred Kellner, Tera (Marty) Wegner, Todd Kellner, and Eric (Jennifer) Kellner; grandchildren, Marlie, Lilly, Chole, Alana, and Hudson Wegner and Josie, Jackie, and Julia Kellner; his parents, Fred and Margaret Kellner; and a brother, David (Marcia) Kellner. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Annette Herman and Peggy Kellner.
Funeral services in honor of Charles will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, July 13, 2012 with visitation beginning at 4:00pm until the service time at 7:00pm with Rev. Dan Miller officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
