Casey Jean Petricek's Obituary
Kansasville- Casey J. Petricek, 16, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident.
Casey was born in Racine on July 23, 1996 to Rhys Petricek and Jennifer Jansen. She was a student at Central High School in Salem and was employed at McDonalds.
Casey was an honor student who always left her homework until the last minute and could still pass every class. She participated in a number of sports, including basketball, volleyball and bowling. She also participated in music and could play the clarinet, trombone, guitar (both acoustic and electric) and even taught herself how to play the piano. She loved animals, and even enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also loved playing chess with her father, and relished every time she would win against him.
A few weeks away from finishing her CNA clinicals, her desire in life was to become a surgeon and work with Doctors without Borders. A kind and compassionate person, she also wanted to adopt children later in life because "there are too many children in need".
She will be dearly missed by her mother and step-father, Jennifer (Jeff) Jansen; father and step-mother, Rhys (Mary) Petricek; two sisters, Ariel and Jessica Petricek; grandparents, Robert and Carol Krenzke, Robert and Loisjean Petricek; and many step-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many, friends.
A visitation in honor of Casey will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Wilson Funeral Home from 4:00-9:00pm. Private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Casey Petricek Memorial Fund at Community State Bank.
