Carolyn Joyce Bullmore's Obituary
Somers – Carolyn Joyce Bullmore, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 11, 2017.
Carolyn was born in Racine to Russell and Lillian (nee Jacobson) Olson on March 28, 1926. She was united in marriage to Carl R. Bullmore on June 18, 1949.
Carolyn earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Math from Wheaton College and taught in Kenosha Unified School District for over twenty years. She was an active member of Calvary Memorial Church and among other activities was deeply involved in Summer Camp Ministries. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Carolyn, with much joy, devoted special time to her family.
Carolyn will be dearly missed by her husband of 68 years, Carl; children: Steve (Carol) Bullmore, Barbara (Paul) Dombrowski, Patty (Tom) Lockhart, Laurie (Robert) Andersen, and Mike (Beverly) Bullmore; grandchildren: Katie (Aaron) Doering, Christy (Chad) Cashin, Jake (Leah) Andersen, Leah (Clayton) Delaney, Alex Andersen, and Abigail, Madeline, and Graham Bullmore; and four great grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lillian Olson and her sister, Bernice Olson.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at Calvary Memorial Church, 4001 Washington Avenue, on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with her son, Dr. Mike Bullmore, officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery.
