Carol Lee Wilson's Obituary
Carol Lee Wilson, age 83, of Sturtevant, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025.
Carol was born on March 30, 1942, in Masontown, Pennsylvania, to Robert Neil and Ada (née Guess) Warman.
Carol began working at Racine Steel, where she was known for her dedication and tireless work ethic. She later found working in service to others as a custodian for the Racine Unified School District, where she worked for many years before retiring in 2004. She took immense pride in her work and formed meaningful connections with staff and students alike.
On September 29, 1961, Carol married the love of her life, Hugh Franklin Wilson Sr., in Cumberland, Maryland. Their marriage was a shining example of devotion and partnership, lasting over 61 beautiful years. Carol and Hugh built a life centered around family and the simple joys of everyday living. Her heart was deeply broken when Hugh passed away on February 15, 2022, yet the love they shared remained a guiding light in her final years.
Carol’s most treasured role in life was that of wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Hugh created countless cherished memories with their children, especially during family camping trips to Crivitz, Wisconsin, where laughter, storytelling, and the love of the outdoors brought them closer together. Carol also had a green thumb and found great joy tending to her vibrant floral and bountiful vegetable gardens.
Known for her warm heart and nurturing spirit, Carol made it a personal mission to ensure her family was always cared for. She was an exceptional baker and cook, and no one ever left her table hungry. Her home was filled with the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals and the warmth of unconditional love.
In her later years, Carol found peace in life’s quiet moments on the porch, with Hugh by her side and their beloved dogs Buddy, Bella, and Eli nestled close by. These simple pleasures brought her great joy and contentment.
Carol will be lovingly remembered by her children: Tammy (Bill) Bronson and Hugh (Lisa) Wilson Jr.; grandchildren: Crystal (Paul) DeHart, Melissa (Bret) Bosworth, Brandon Wilson (Kate Beardmore), Eric (Cassandra) Bronson, Brittany (Ryan) Schuk, and Brad Wilson (Julia Matelski); 11 great grandchildren; brother, James (Janice) Warman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ada Warman; husband, Hugh Wilson Sr.; and brother, Robert Warman.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on April 21, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the ceremony at 11:00 a.m. A service of committal will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park following the ceremony.
Carol’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her gentle smile, her giving heart, and the countless ways she made life sweeter for those fortunate enough to know her.
She is now reunited with her beloved Hugh and rests in eternal peace.
