Carol June Reynolds' Obituary
Carol June Reynolds, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 12, 2017.
On April 29, 1933, Carol was born to Harry and Lenora (nee Weber) Reynolds in Streator, IL. Throughout her childhood, her parents taught her skills used to tend the flowers and vegetable gardens. Carol volunteered her time helping her mother at Jack and Jill Daycare. She spent 18 years wintering in McAllen, TX with her parents.
Carol loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was a lifetime member of The First Church of God and thoroughly enjoyed the music and singing there. Carol participated in the Harmony Club at Franksville United Methodist Church. She continued her love of flowers and gardening. Carol was a big Wheel of Fortune fan, and enjoyed the Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed visiting with her church family and her neighbors. Carol was known for always having a smile on her face.
Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her cousins: Meg Weber Burke, Richard Weber, and Steve Weber; other members of her extended family; longtime special friends and care givers: Henry Dykhuis, Sharon Behling, and Sue Peters, and close church friends too numerous to list. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and a special friend and care giver, LaVerne Dykhuis.
A time of visitation for Carol will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ryan Reed officiating. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials in Carol’s name may be directed to The First Church of God.
A special thank you is extended to Carol’s church family, her neighbors, and the staff at Ridgewood for the kindness extended to Carol.
