Bradley "Brad" E. McLaughlin's Obituary
Racine - Bradley “Brad” E. McLaughlin passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Brad was born on November 7, 1963, in Newark, Ohio, to Garry McLaughlin and Nancy Delong. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1986.
On August 29, 2010, Brad was united in marriage to Julie Scholz at Bethel Assembly of God in Interlachen, Florida, a church he was deeply proud to call his spiritual home and where he remained a devoted member.
Brad lived in Interlachen, Florida before moving to Wisconsin. While living in Wisconsin, Brad devoted his career to helping others, working as a professional counselor at Oakwood Clinical Associates in Racine, Interconnections in Kenosha and Lutheran Family Services in Wauwatosa, He later worked at Amazon MKE5 in Kenosha. Brad was a member of the American Psychological Association as well as the American Counseling Association. He had a passion for tabletop RPG gaming, a hobby that brought him great joy and connection with others.
Those who knew Brad will fondly remember his favorite saying, “Are you sure?”—a line he loved quoting from My Cousin Vinny.
Brad will be deeply missed by his wife, Julie McLaughlin; his father, Garry McLaughlin; his daughter, Heather McLaughlin; his step-son, A’Twaan Williams; his step-daughter, Savannah (Brett) Butterfield; his granddaughters, Desiree and Jordyn Williams; his niece, Katrina Rush; his aunts, Marje McLaughlin and Pat Burdette and Connie (John) Crum; his cousin, Kevin Hall, and his beloved Yorkie, Einstein.
His mother, Nancy Delong, and his grandmother, Elizabeth (Dalton) McLaughlin are lighting the way home for him.
