Bobby Gene Pharr's Obituary
Bobby Gene Pharr, age 85, passed away on March 29, 2018 in Racine, Wisconsin.
Bobby was born on December 20, 1932, in Alabama to the late Dock and Gaither (nee Shotts) Pharr. He was united in marriage to Ludie L. Starns on January 14, 1950 in Mississippi. Ludie preceded Bobby in death, passing away on March 16, 2004. Bobby then was united in marriage to Mary Jane Miller in December of 2004. Mary Jane also preceded Bobby in death, passing away on July 9, 2017. Bobby served his country in the United States Army and was a decorated Korean War veteran. He worked as a tool and die maker at J.I. Case for over 25 years.
Left to cherish Bobby’s memory are his daughters: Phyllis Pharr and Penny (Brian) Giese; his granddaughter, Rachel Giese; his brother, Larry (Brenda “Charlene”) Pharr; his step-children, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Bobby is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Christina Pruneda; his sister, Sybil Inman; as well as his two infant brothers.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Wilson Funeral Home (1212 Lathrop Ave., Racine, WI) with Pastor John Fleming of Faithbridge Church officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Bobby will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on a later date. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
