Beverly Poulsen's Obituary
Mrs. Poulsen, 77, passed away at her home on Feb. 1, 2008. She was born in Racine on July 12, 1930 to the late Herman F. and Ann (nee: Williams) Rexilius. She lived all of her life in Racine. She was united in marriage to Maynard Q. Poulsen at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Racine on June 10, 1950.
Beverly worked at J. I. Case, Oster and Horlicks Malted Milk Factory for 6 years last working in 1957. A passionate, loving mother, wife and homemaker.
She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and Alpine Valley Ski Patrol. She did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels at Lincoln Lutheran Home. She was very much loved by all and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Maynard Q. Poulsen; two daughters, Denise Lisowski of Milwaukee and Sandra (Peter) Mars of Chicago; one son, David Poulsen of Carbondale, Colorado; one sister-in-law, Barbara Rexilius; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Rexilius.
A celebration of Beverly's life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 from 4 pm until 8 pm. Inurnment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly's memory to the Racine Habitat for Humanity 1501 Villa St. 262-637-9176.
