Beverly Charlotte Charity Sterbin's Obituary
Racine - Beverly Sterbin (nee: Rigby) passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints, Racine, Wisconsin on Thursday, November 8, 2012.
Beverly was born in Racine to James and Emma Rigby on November 17, 1930. She lived in Racine most of her life except for three years in Omaha, Nebraska. On April 14, 1950 she married Rev. Frank E. Sterbin Sr. She and Frank served God in pastoring churches in Racine, Nebraska, and Illinois. Beverly was a caring mother and enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening, and visiting and helping elderly people in nursing homes.
Beverly is survived by four daughters, two sons, 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many dear nieces and nephews. Her surviving sisters include Hope (Elton) Bertram and Gloria Mae (Donald) Took , and sisters- in-law Janice, Margret, and Martha Rigby. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Emma Rigby, and her siblings Maisie, Dorothy, Lloyd, Jimmy, Lyle, June, Daniel, Matthew, James, Muriel, and an infant.
Funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday November 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Edward Baci and Rev. Decherd Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to WVCY, First Church of Hixville (North Dartmouth, MA), or Calvary Presbyterian Church (Greenville, SC).
