Benjamin Stewart's Obituary
Mr. Stewart, 91, went to be with his Lord, on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Rebekah Haven in Green Bay. He was born in Black Cape, Quebec, Canada on Feb. 2, 1917 to the late Alexander and Mary Stewart.
He lived most of his life in Racine until moving to Green Bay in November 2008. He was united in marriage to Lois W. Wiersum. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a United States Postal Worker, working as a mail sorter for many years. He was a lifelong member of Racine Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Stewart, his children; Mary Jo (Don) Liesch of Abrams, WI, Peter and (Maria) Stewart of New York City, four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Abigail, Beatriz, four great-grandchildren, Sylvia, James, Gethin and Liesl, one brother; Jake (Joyce) Stewart, sister, Mrs. Grace Klicpera,nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Racine Bible Church, 12505 Spring St, on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John Miesel officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials in memory of Mr. Stewart to Racine Bible Church have been suggested.
