Audrey Juanita Johnson's Obituary
Audrey Juanita Johnson, 83, passed away with her family at her side at Ascension All Saints Hospital on February 17, 2018.
Audrey was born in Booneville, AR to the late Calvin Smalley and Opal (nee Oden) Smalley on March 15, 1934. In Colorado, she was married to Melvin Perkins in 1953. He preceded her in death in 1963. Audrey was then united in marriage to Richard E. Johnson in February of 1964. He also preceded her in death in 1981.
Audrey was employed by Ameritech, Wisconsin Bell and AT&T as a telephone operator. She retired from Ameritech in 1994 after 26 years of employment. Audrey was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Racine. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and cooking for family and friends.
Audrey will be dearly missed by her children: Cynthia Pluss, John “Kip” Perkins, James “Bud” Perkins (Judi Neumiller), Cheryl (Danyl) Jensen, Joe Perkins and Kimberli (Roger) Due: 24 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brothers: James A. Smalley (Pam Newman) and Michael (Debi) Noha; and nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Adam Hoecherl and one great grandson, Thomas Kuhagen, Jr.
A Celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at Faith Community Church, 215 S. Newman Road on Saturday, February 24, 2018 with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon and a memorial service beginning at 12:00 noon.
