Arthur Oribiletti's Obituary
UNION GROVE - Arthur Oribiletti, 89, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016.
Arthur was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on July 20, 1926 to Frank and Rosa (nee Crosariol) Oribiletti. He attended Kenosha schools and the University of Wisconsin. On September 5, 1964, he was united in marriage to Vera M. Johansen.
Arthur served as a Petty Officer in the United States Navy in the Philippines during World War II. He was employed by Simmons Company and had a lengthy career at American Motors in Quality Control, retiring in 1985. Arthur was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Racine. He and his wife, Vera, served as foster parents for five children and as hosts to two foreign exchange students. Arthur enjoyed music, Bingo, crossword puzzles, playing cards, watching TV and was constantly frustrated by his beloved Chicago Cubs.
Arthur is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (Daniel) Lewis of Chanhassen, MN and Susan (Gary) Obry of Racine; a son in law, Jack Andraschko of Pearson; a sister, Amy Rompensky of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Danielle) Andraschko of Portage, Stephanie (Christopher) Sklba of Racine, Scott Andraschko (Dana Mullholland) of Twin Lakes and Eric (Kayln) Obry of Racine; seven great grandchildren, Jessica and Lauren Sklba, Hunter and Leigha Andraschko, Sean, Colin and Ryan Andraschko; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Vera, in 2009; his parents; a daughter, Patsy Andraschko; two brothers, Paul Oberlin and Bruno Oribiletti (who was killed in the invasion of Guam); six sisters, Elizabeth (Gino) Revelant, Vera Oribiletti, Lena (Frank) Zarletti, Sylvia (Tony) Bruno, Rose (Jerry) Matteucci and Ida (Kenny) Butz; and a brother in law Bud Rompensky.
Friends and family may meet from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home for a time of visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 with Rev. Warren Williams officiating.
