Arleigh Waite's Obituary
Arleigh Fay Waite, 86, with his daughter at his side, died peacefully in Woodstock Health and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007. He was born in Leon, WI on June 9, 1921 to the late Albert Fay and Muriel (nee: Hall) Waite. He was united in marriage to the former Virginia Soles on April 20, 1940 in Dubuque, IA.
He retired from American Motors. He worked in machine repair. He was mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything. He was a hard worker and believed that providing for his family was number one. This is how he showed his love. He loved to watch car races, the Packers and ballgames. He never missed a deer hunting season when younger and a Wheel of Fortune when he was older.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Waite, his children, Clifford (Darlene) Waite, Richard Waite, Shirley Cullins, Patricia (Mark) Porter, Pamela (Timothy) Grant, Ernest Waite, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Waite and all his siblings.
Daddy you left us, to be with family and friends in Heaven. We know your anger is gone now and you are at Peace. For that we are at Peace also.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at 12 Noon. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. No graveside services will be held. Wilson Funeral Home will do the interment at a later date in Rienzi Cemetery in Fond Du Lac, WI.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later date would be appreciated.
A special thank you to Dr. Miso Milsovich, Dr. Pulla, Hospice Alliance and the Woodstock staff of one north, especially Alice, Elizabeth, Regina, Terri, Ursula and roommate, Kyle.
