Anna Elizabeth Gianforte's Obituary
Village of Yorkville - Anna Elizabeth Gianforte (nee Shattleroe), age 100, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
Anna was born in Koblenz, Germany to the late Lafayette and Elizabeth (nee Gerhardt) Shattleroe on October 30, 1921. She was united in marriage to Christopher Gianforte, who preceded her in death. Anna was employed by Western Publishing as a shipping team member for over 30 years.
Anna was a skilled seamstress and yarnie. She crafted many beautiful clothing items, afghans, and other projects that she gifted to family throughout the years. Anna took great pride in the care of her home and yard. She also liked to bake and share her treats with family through the years.
Anna will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Mary Lou Rapson, and Patricia Shacklett; grandchildren: Tammy Dunk, Donald Waddell III, Christa Fox, Michael Krueger, Rick Krueger, Thomas Krueger, and Patty Rapson Vela; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters: Rose Johnston, Shirley Shattleroe, and Helen Rauch; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her son, Donald Waddell Jr.; grandson, Jeff Krueger; sisters: Marie Klowski, Alberta Marcell, and Ruth Webb; brothers: Alfred, Robert, Edward, and Charles Shattleroe.
A private service of committal will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Please share online condolences and memories of Anna on her tribute page.
