Amy Paul's Obituary
Racine –
Amy (nee: Rae) Paul, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 18, 2014 at Harmony House. Amy was born on May 15, 1924 in Glasgow, Scotland to Robert and Agnes (nee: Ormrod) Rae. Amy came to the U.S. in 1952. She was married to Johann "Hans" Paul on April 10, 1954 in Racine. Hans preceded her in death on November 21, 2009.
Amy was employed in customer service at 1st National Bank, Bank One and Marine Bank during her career. She was an active member of Racine Bible Church where she participated in Sunday Bible study. She also taught Bible studies to the women's group there. She was president of Friendship Circle #2 at the church. Amy enjoyed world traveling. Her family was always very important to her. Amy stayed close to her family and her friends in Scotland through writing letters, though she would have loved to return for one more visit. Amy is survived by her sister-in-law, Regina Paul of Racine, One nephew, John (Joanne) Balestrieri of Racine, two nieces, June(Kelvin) Lum and Linda(David) Hayton. She is also survived by Great-Nieces: Valencia Villarreal, Julia Balestrieri, Joanna and Jenny Lum and Great-Nephew John Hayton.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Agnes Rae, her husband, Hans Paul, brother and sister-in-law Jimmy (Sheena) Rae, sisters and brothers-in-law Phyllis (Stanley)Pradzynska and Edith (John) Balestrieri, brother-in-law, Andreas Paul, and 2 nieces: Diane Balestrieri and Gina Villarreal.
Services for Amy will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Racine Bible Church, 12505 Spring Street, Sturtevant, WI 53177 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Darian Bowers will officiate. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to Racine Bible Church.
