Alice Belle Wolf-Daceno's Obituary
Racine- Alice Belle Wolf-Daceno, 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at her residence in Parkview Gardens Memory Care.
She was born in Racine on March 11th, 1925, the daughter of the late William and Florence (nee: Peterson) Higgins. Alice graduated from Washington Park High School. At age 19 she went to San Francisco with her sister Evelyn and got a job as an usherette at the Fox Theatre. She met her future husband George Wolf there and they were married in San Francisco on April 16, 1944. George and Alice had 8 children.
She enjoyed spending vacations when her children were younger, vacationing in Crivitz, Wi. They owned a trailer up there and would swim, fish, and bow hunt. Alice enjoyed bow hunting with her husband, and they were members of an archery club. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had 10 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was always involved with them on beach trips, holidays, trick or treating and birthdays.
After her husband died in 1980, she went back to work full-time at S.C.Johnson's Wax, when people her age were thinking of retirement, she worked for 15 years until her retirement.
April 8, 1995, she married Charles Daceno Sr. at Roma Lodge. She was a member of the Vittoria Colonna chapter at Roma Lodge and enjoyed playing bocci and cards with a group of friends. She loved traveling and went on a few trips with her girlfriends.
Alice will be remembered for her kindness, unconditional love, her wit, sense of humor and friendliness, with everyone she came in contact with.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents; son, George Thomas Wolf; husband, George Wolf; 2nd husband, Charles Daceno Sr.; grandson, Joshua Mikulecky; brother, William C. Higgins Jr.; sister, Evelyn Graves; sister, Nancy Puffer; and daughter-in-law, Sue Wolf.
Alice is survived by her children, Ron (Veronica) Wolf of Racine; Robert (Debbie)Wolf of Racine; Raymond (Jean Borkhus) of Salem, IL; Sherrill Aukland of Racine; Linda (Robert) Mikulecky of Port Charlotte, FL; Randall (Sheryl) Wolf of Pensacola, FL; Kim (Davis) Jensen of Racine; Richard Wolf of Racine; beloved grandchildren: Tim, Todd, Brian, Jocelyn, Erik, Tyler, Shaun, Jacob, Krisjan, and Angela; and many great grandchildren.
A celebration of Alice’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. with Chaplain Terry Peterson officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 A.M until the time of service. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park after reception at Wilson Funeral Home.
