Albert Callewaert's Obituary
Union Grove - Mr. Albert H. Callewaert, 88, passed away at the Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington on Friday morning, August 3, 2007.
Albert Callewaert was born in Saint Amelie, Manitoba, Canada to the late Boudwin and Eliza (nee: Petillion) Callewaert on August 15, 1918. He had lived in Union Grove for the past 50 years. In Sturtevant, he was united in marriage to Susan Willing on June 11, 1938.
Mr. Callewaert was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church since 1958. He served as a trustee in the earlier days. He was employed by West Lawn Memorial Park for 42 years. He retired in 1981.
Albert is survived by his wife, Susan, two daughters, Barbara (Ralph) Collins and Mary (Dennis) Granetzke; one son, John (Linda) Callewaert; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives; and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church, 417 - 15th Ave. on Monday evening, August 6, 2007 at 7:30 pm with Rev. George Schlagel officiating. Private interment well be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday evening from 5 pm until service time. Memorials may be directed to the Union Grove Baptist Church.
