Alan Erbe's Obituary
Mt. Pleasant- Mr. Alan A. Erbe, 61, passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, July 29, 2009.
Alan was born to the late Harvey and Adele (nee: Lundgren) Erbe on August 22, 1947 and lived his entire life in Racine. On September 15, 1973 in Racine, he was united in marriage to Betty Yarrington.
Alan was employed at Harley Davidson and was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. He loved football, especially the Packers, gardening, fishing with friends, and was a really good cook who experimented with lots of spices.
Alan is survived by his wife Betty, of 35 years; children, Daniel Erbe and Julie (Eon Dinauer) Erbe; brother, Steve (Cyndi) Erbe; sister, Barbara (Gil) Faulls; sister-in-law, Jane Erbe; brother-in-law, Larry (Jeannette) Yarrington; mother-in-law, Doris Yarrington as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alan was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Erbe and father-in-law, Ken Yarrington.
Funeral services for Alan will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (322 Ohio St.) on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11:00 am. with Rev. James Barsch officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday August 2, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 pm. and Monday morning at the church from 10:30 am. until service time.
