Aileen Nunet's Obituary
Racine- Aileen (nee: Berg) Nunet, 95, went home to be with her Lord on August 12, 2012.
Aileen was born in Racine on May 6, 1917, to the late Henry and Augusta (nee: Fink) Berg. In Dubuque, Iowa on December 28, 1939 she was united in marriage to Albert Nunet, who preceded her in death on February 15, 1997.
Aileen was employed as a legal secretary by various attorneys in Racine where a mastery of shorthand served her well Aileen retired in 1979 from Keystone Heating where she was employed for 23 years as office secretary. Aileen found the greatest pay to be the personal pride and satisfaction for a job well done. Aileen and Al, a gifted artist, enjoyed many happy retirement years together playing the organ, swimming, gardening, and maintaining their country home.
Aileen found the Lord in nature at an early age and the two of them could grow anything together. Her special rapport with nature produced spectacular flower displays that were the envy of family and friends.
Surviving her are one son, Roger (Barbara) Nunet; two grandsons, Stephen Nunet of Racine and John (Dominique Beaudin) of Mukwonago; two great grandsons, Christopher and Alex of Mukwonago; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Aileen was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Berg; and a brother, Vernon Berg.
Private services in honor of Aileen were held at Graceland Cemetery.
