Adolph Wagner's Obituary
Racine- Mr. Adolph Wagner, 94, passed away at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Wednesday, October 19, 2011.
Adolph was born in Racine on August 6, 1917, to Martin and Mary Katherine (nee: Ruppel) Wagner. He graduated from Park High School and during WWII served in England as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Force. He was employed as a printer at Western Printing and Publishing Company. On November 24, 1956 he was united in marriage to Jeanne Beulke and they have enjoyed 55 happy years together.
In his early years during the depression, he was an active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. Later, he began attending First Presbyterian Church with his wife. He had a deep appreciation of fine photography, printing, and woodworking. For many years, he participated in competitions in Racine Camera Club and the Photographic Society of America.
Adolph will be dearly missed by his wife Jeanne of Racine; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Wagner of Racine and Eleanore Wagner of Grants Pass, Ore.; six nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Kammerzelt-Loppnow; and brothers, George Wagner and Alex Wagner.
Funeral services in honor of Adolph will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the chapel of West Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Zarling officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family from 9:30am until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to a church or to one's favorite charity.
