Aaron "Dick" Richard Langdon's Obituary
Racine – Aaron “Dick” Richard Langdon, 73, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on January 30, 2024, at Ascension – All Saints Hospital.
Dick was born in Racine to Alfred “Al” John Jr. and Luella Gertrude (nee Mentch) Langdon on September 1, 1950. He was a graduate of Washington Park High School. Dick was united in marriage to Lois May Bertelson on December 24, 1969, at Christ United Methodist Church in Racine. Dick was employed at Young Radiator and Twin Disc, even though he worked most of his life at his father’s business, Al Langdon’s Trailer Rental. Dick eventually became a business partner and owner for 14 years. He retired in 2006.
Dick was a member of Goldwing Riders of America and Retreads Motorcycle Club International. He and Lois had a passion for motorcycle riding, traveling throughout the States. Together, they rode all 120 Rustic Roads of Wisconsin. Dick was an avid deer hunter. He enjoyed meeting friends for dinner gatherings at Yuni’s Avenue Café and eating out at other restaurants as well. Most of all, Dick appreciated spending time with his family.
Dick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Lois Langdon; children: Lori (Russell) Karow, and Alan (Laura) Langdon; grandchildren: Caleb (Desiree) Langdon, Justin (Samantha) Blaesing, and Conor Langdon; great-grandchildren: Sylvie Langdon and Starlyn Blaesing; siblings: Wayne Langdon, Patricia Benning, and Darlene Sorensen; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred “Al” Jr. and Luella Langdon; sister, Carole Schneider; and brother, Alfred “Butch” J. Langdon III.
A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, February 9, 2024, with visitation at 10:00 AM until a memorial service at 12:00 PM.
