Martha Jean Ladd

November 13, 1932 - July 5, 2018

Mount Pleasant – Martha Jean Ladd, age 85, has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 5, 2018. Martha was born on November 13, 1932, to the late Stanley and Florence (nee: Klingler) Addison in Jackson, MI. She was united in marriage to Vern Ladd on August 26, 1950, in Indiana. Vern preceded Martha in death on September 30, 2017. Martha’s most important job was taking care of and raising her children. She was a faithful member at Calvary Memorial Church and was also a member of the Gideon Auxiliary. Throughout the years, Martha sang in the church choir with her husband, Vern. One of her favorite activities was knitting. Nothing was more important to Martha than her family, she loved them with all her heart and she will be dearly missed. Left to cherish Martha’s memory are her loving children: Rick (Cindy) Ladd, Bonnie (Joe) Tufo, Guy (Faythe) Ladd, Mark (Catherine) Ladd, and Sheri Ladd; sister-in-law, Merrie Rosemary (Jimmie) Oaks; 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Martha will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nathan James officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time service at the funeral home.
