Judith Ann Pichelman
May 31, 1940 - June 21, 2017
Mrs. Judith Ann Pichelman, 77, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, after a struggle with ALS. She was born in Racine on May 31, 1940, to the late Walter and Marie (nee Chester) Larsen. She lived most of her life in Racine. She was united in marriage to the late Donald Pichelman in Plover on November 16, 1956. She would like to be remembered first of all as a woman who wanted to glorify God in everything that she did. Right alongside that was her intense love and concern for family, wanting to lead by example, always steering to Jesus. Judith was an amazing mom, grandma, GiGi, sister and friend who was loved as deeply as she loved. Judith was a long-time member of Calvary Memorial Church. She loved to be part of Bible studies both on a personal level with close friends as well as being a part of the Sisters in Christ Bible Study at church. She was a faithful volunteer at the Harvest Outreach Food Bank for many years. Judith loved watching and listening to birds, as well as viewing the beauty of God on her property as flowers and trees went through the seasons. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, visits with her close friends; but longed to be doing anything with her family whether it be caregiving, having a morning tea party after a sleepover, sharing a meal, a movie, a conversation, a game of Mexican Train, simply any sort of time spent with her loved ones. What many may not know was that Judith wrote beautiful poetry that expressed her heart and prayers. She is survived by her children, Diane (Jim) Tipton and Matt (Crystal) Pichelman; daughter-in-law, Alisa Pichelman; grandchildren: Bruce N. Napierkowski, Heidi Cantwell, Madelaine Pichelman, and Louisa Pichelman; great-grandchildren: Genevieve Cantwell, Raiden Napierkowski, Xander Cantwell, and Callisto Mouzes; one brother, Gary (Carol) Larsen; brothers-in-law, Walter (Loretta) Pichelman and Edward Pichelman; sister-in-law, Maryanne Milanowski. Several nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, dear friends and neighbors also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Greg Pichelman and a granddaughter, Alaura Pichelman. A time of visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Monday, June 26 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Judith’s life will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Patrick Faulk officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at www.wilsonfuneralhomeinc.com. A special thanks to Dr. Barkhaus and the entire Froedtert ALS team, the ALS Association, Pastors Nathan James and Patrick Faulk, and Heartland Hospice for their special care.
