Françoise "Fran" Elholm Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Racine - Françoise “Fran” Elholm (nee Hirsch), age 99, passed away at her home on June 14, 2022. Françoise was born on February 13, 1923, in Paris, France. She met and married John L. Elholm, an American G.I. stationed in Paris. They were united in marriage in Paris on May 10, 1946. Shortly after, she started a new life in Racine with her husband. From this union, came three daughters: Christine, Anne, and Mary Jo; eight grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren. Fran was quick to share with whoever would listen about her adored great grandchildren. Fran is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Christine Elholm, Anne (Larry) Logan, and Mary Jo (Tom) Smith; grandchildren: Jake (Jenna) Smith, Justus (Victoria) Smith, Danielle (Joel) Nettesheim, Elizabeth (Andrew) Hay, Jessica (Kevin) Gabinski, Jared (Jeri) Logan, Erica (Alex) Mikesel, and Annik (Chariss) Dupaty; great grandchildren: Nicolas, Naiya, and Nalani Dupaty, Avery Mikesel; Drew, Alivia, Miles, Joy, and Sophia Logan, Scarlett and Paisley Hay, Cole Gabinski, Taylor, Kayla, Donovan, Emma, Penelope, and Matthew Smith, Hope and Enzo Smith, and Lilly and Ruby Nettesheim; nieces: Claire (Benoit) Presle and Cecile (Eric) Lefebvre; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacque, and Andree (nee Mars) Hirsch; husband, John L. Elholm; beloved great granddaughter, Kayla Smith; and sister, Christiane Hirsch. A celebration of Frans life will be held at the Mound Cemetery chapel on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 10:00 AM followed by a service of committal at the graveside.
