Carol Ann Schoenherr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Racine-Carol Ann Schoenherr (nee Cooper), 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Timber Oaks Assisted Living in Union Grove. Carol was born to the late Archie and Edith (nee Hinchclinffe) Cooper on January 19, 1923, in Racine. She was united in marriage to Donald Schoenherr on June 23, 1945, at Racine Bible Church. The two were married for 17 years until Donald’s passing in October of 1962. Carol worked in key punching and billing at Twin Disc for 27 years. She retired from Twin Disc in September of 1981. She was a proud and faithful member of the Racine Bible Church. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, quilting, and bowling. She was a baseball fan; her favorite team was the Milwaukee Brewers. Above all, Carol loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol will be deeply missed by her loving daughters: Janet (Wallace) Borner, Susan (David) Hegyera, and Barbara (Gregory) Nowak; grandchildren: Martha (Jon) Bege, Sarah (Mitchell) Cain, Steven (Rebecka) Hegyera, Katy Hegyera, and Kristina Hegyera; great-grandchildren: Olivia, twins Cooper and Bradley, Nova, and Hudson; sister, Elva Walrath; brother-in-law, Charles Schoenherr; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Carol is predeceased by her husband, Donald; two infant brothers; and numerous in-laws. A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held at Racine Bible Church on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 3:30 P.M. with Pastor Spencer DeBurgh officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the church on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. Carol has been laid to rest next to her husband, Donald, at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials in Carol’s name may be directed to the Racine Bible Church Building Fund (12505 Spring St, Sturtevant, WI 53177). The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff from Timber Oaks for their loving and wonderful care of Carol.
