Arline M. Bodenbach

Racine-Arline M. Bodenbach, 97, passed away at Elizabeth Gardens on Monday, July 5, 2021. Arline was born to the late Herman and Pearl (nee Laverty) Tool on December 20, 1923, in Sioux City, IA. In 1945, she met Eual Bodenbach at a USO dance, they were married in 1946. They were married for 65 years and enjoyed golf, bowling, dancing, traveling, and having family gatherings. She was preceded in death by Eual. Arline was an active member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, where she sang in the choir and was president of the quilting group for 10 years. She was employed at Sears for 18 years and was a driving force in saving Shoops Golf Course on Lake Michigan. Arline will be loving remembered by her children: Linda (Don) Clarke of The Villages, FL, Thom Bodenbach of Racine, Paul (Jayne) Bodenbach of Union, KY, Debra (Rick) Bublitz of Vancouver, WA; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Arline’s Life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Vicar Chip Lutz officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Private inurnment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Arianna Rukstales and Iesha Perry from St. Croix Hospice for their loving and 24-hour care of Arline.
